Usage & Care
- Prep (for all uses)
- For panel lining, apply a gloss top coat first; let it fully dry before using the enamel paint (eases cleanup of excess paint).
- Spray Application
- Dilute with small amounts of pure water or Sheik Mainland brush paint thinner (adjust by feel—do NOT use medical alcohol, which causes clumping).
- Clean spray pens with pure water/Sheik Mainland thinner (no medical alcohol).
- Brush Paint Application
- Use directly (no mandatory dilution) for targeted detailing.
- Panel Lining Method
- After gloss top coat dries: Dip a brush in the enamel paint, apply to engraved lines (it will flow along crevices).
- Wipe excess paint with a water-dampened swab/sponge.
- Let dry 6 hours (or speed up with a hair dryer—note: finish quality may be reduced); apply a protective top coat after testing compatibility on scrap material (some top coats may dissolve the enamel paint).
- Masking/Wiping Method
- Let base coat dry fully; apply enamel paint over the area.
- Wipe raised surfaces gently with a water-dampened swab/sponge (only recessed areas retain paint, revealing the base coat on raised edges).
- Recommended layer order: Base paint → Gloss top coat → Enamel paint → Final top coat (gloss/matte).
Precautions
- Do NOT use with Mr.Hobby: Mr.Hobby’s formula may damage this paint.
- No medical alcohol: Avoid for dilution or cleanup (causes clumping).
- Test top coat compatibility: Always test protective top coats on scrap material first (to avoid dissolving the enamel paint).
- Top coat thickness: Apply protective top coats thick enough to form a film (thin coats won’t protect effectively).
Please note that this product is suitable for brush painting, NOT air brushing
