If you need crisp panel lines, sharp masked accents, or versatile detailing for your Gunpla/scale model—this 5ml water-based enamel paint is your go-to! It works for both spray and brush paint applications, glides seamlessly along engraved lines for easy panel lining, and lets you wipe away excess to reveal precise accents. Water-based (cleanup with water!) and compatible with most hobby brands (except Mr.Hobby) it’s perfect for beginners and veterans tackling detailed builds.

Key Features

  • Dual Application
Can be used for both spray and brush painting.
  • Effortless Panel Lining
Drips onto engraved lines and flows naturally along crevices; wipe excess with a water-dampened swab/sponge for clean, sharp lines.
  • Masking/Wiping Accents
Create precise details by applying over a dry base coat, then wiping raised areas with water to leave paint only in recesses.
  • Water-Based Convenience
Clean brushes/tools with pure water (no harsh solvents); no need to use medical alcohol (avoids clumping).
  • Brand Compatibility
Works with most hobby paints—note: not compatible with Mr.Hobby (Mr. Hobby’s formula may damage this paint).

Capacity

5ml per bottle

Type

Water-based enamel paint

Primary Uses

Panel lining, masking/wipe accents, spray/brush paint

Core Property

Line-flowing for panel lining; wipeable for recessed accents

Usage & Care

  1. Prep (for all uses)
    • For panel lining, apply a gloss top coat first; let it fully dry before using the enamel paint (eases cleanup of excess paint).
  2. Spray Application
    • Dilute with small amounts of pure water or Sheik Mainland brush paint thinner (adjust by feel—do NOT use medical alcohol, which causes clumping).
    • Clean spray pens with pure water/Sheik Mainland thinner (no medical alcohol).
  3. Brush Paint Application
    • Use directly (no mandatory dilution) for targeted detailing.
  4. Panel Lining Method
    • After gloss top coat dries: Dip a brush in the enamel paint, apply to engraved lines (it will flow along crevices).
    • Wipe excess paint with a water-dampened swab/sponge.
    • Let dry 6 hours (or speed up with a hair dryer—note: finish quality may be reduced); apply a protective top coat after testing compatibility on scrap material (some top coats may dissolve the enamel paint).
  5. Masking/Wiping Method
    • Let base coat dry fully; apply enamel paint over the area.
    • Wipe raised surfaces gently with a water-dampened swab/sponge (only recessed areas retain paint, revealing the base coat on raised edges).
    • Recommended layer order: Base paint → Gloss top coat → Enamel paint → Final top coat (gloss/matte).

Precautions

  • Do NOT use with Mr.Hobby: Mr.Hobby’s formula may damage this paint.
  • No medical alcohol: Avoid for dilution or cleanup (causes clumping).
  • Test top coat compatibility: Always test protective top coats on scrap material first (to avoid dissolving the enamel paint).
  • Top coat thickness: Apply protective top coats thick enough to form a film (thin coats won’t protect effectively).
